According to El-Khabar newspaper (November 21, 2006), Mr. Sherif Iskander, Google's Business Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, forecasts the total number of the Internet users in Saudi Arabia to increase from current 4.5 million users to 9 million users by 2008. Mr. Iskander ranks the Kingdom in the second position in the Arab World in terms of the Internet users number volume.
