Fed: Crean - Report shows Iraqi disarmament possible peacefully
The Federal Opposition says Iraq's disarmament can be achieved peacefully the reportovernight by chief UN weapons inspector HANS BLIX showed.
In an address to the UN Security Council Mr BLIX expressed concern overnight that Iraqhas still not accounted for many banned arms, but progress has been made.
Federal Opposition Leader SIMON CREAN has told ABC radio the report demonstrates nobasis for immediate military action.
Mr CREAN says the report shows that disarmament can be achieved by peaceful means andthrough the United Nations.
