Beitbridge: There was a strong police presence at the border post here yesterday with Zimbabweans trickling back full of hope that their votes will result in a "makeover" for their beleaguered country.

With their fingers still red from dipping them into the indelible ink before casting votes and clasping travel documents, some dragging suitcases with both hands and balancing more luggage on their heads, Zimbabweans spoke of sacrifices they had to endure to travel home "to kick out Mugabe".
